When shooting yesterday I fired my JP Sauer with the new Brenneke slugs I recieved. I wanted to see how they shot in my barrels. The first shot, left barrel was beautiful, right on point of aim. Second, right barrel, was about 4" high and 8" right. They were shot from about 30yds.
Not what I was hoping for, but that wasn't the problem! When I gripped the wrist to open the action the side panel of the stock was pushed out the full thickness of the panel (3/16" or so) and then some past the side of the reciever. Thank god it didn't break!
I was too terrified to fire another salvo and risk damaging the stock.
Has anyone else had a similar issue? Methods to resolve the issue? I purchased 6 boxes of slugs hoping to sight in and hunt this fall, hoping the ammo would group well and I could use this as my goto deer gun.
