  • MUN. & WAFFENFABR 16 Bore

    Hello,
This showed up at my door last weekend. On the barrels it reads "MUN. & WAFFENFABR" SOMMERDA DREYSE.
The Deutsches Reichs Patent is 100914. It has a very small frame and I still need to weigh the firearm.
    Here's some photos.

    Any input would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Jeff

I believe Peter has it; good eye. Curious what the S. Nr. 64 is on the water-table.

        Cheers,

The retailer would have been Munitions und Waffenfabrik Soemmerda which was Nikolaus von Dreyse then Rheinmetall, I believe. So they had the means to manufacture.

          Cheers,

I don't see the term Nitro on the sides of the tubes so it was made between 1898 & 1912.

It is in Waidmannsheil #49 and is available, if you don't already have it, from the GGCA Office or bookstore.
