Mannlicher 1910 magazine question

1910 magazine I bought on eBay arrived today. It fit like a glove and is mechanically excellent, but most of the finish is worn off the lower plate. The original plate from the rifle has very good finish. If I remove the clip on the stud holding the lower plate on the magazine assembly to change the plate, will I have a problem reinstalling things? I made dummy rounds using 270 gr and the 235 gr bullets. I kept the OAL at 3 inches, they cycled thru the magazine fine.

Went ahead and changed the floor plate after seeing a drawing of a parts breakdown. Everything went fine.
