  • Mauser Blue Prints and Specifications

Among the immense amount of information in our membership does anyone have blueprints and technical information for Mauser's? 93, 96, 98? I am primarily interested in information concerning the 98, but often information can be extrapolated to later models.

Original documentation, or references are preferred, but any blue prints, specs, or information would be appreciated.

I frequently work on 98's and primarily of German manufacture. However, the amount of technical information is severely lacking. Being able to reference original tolerancing and being able to develope gauging from this would be great.

I have studied Speed and company's Original Oberndorf book and have extensively studied the technical information present.

I try to log some information, gauging the actions and parts that come through the shop. This is a poor substitute for original information.

there are some drawings in "M98 Rifle and Carbine" by Dieter Storz.these are original drawings but do not show tolerances.it looks like that drawings with tolerances were not made until the many subcontractors became involved in M98 production during WW1.before just Mauser and DWM and the Arsenals were making the M98.parts were made to fit the gages supplied by Mauser or Spandau.
