WTS Pair of Oberndorf GEW 98 receivers (projects)

I don't know much of any history on these. They were a customers and bartered for some work. A previous gunmaker has done some welding on them, I would recommend cleaning them up, finishing work, and re heat treat.

Rust, pitting, mis matched, look to have been Turk service rifles?

They probably did spend time in Turkey. The very large digits in the serial number seen in the last image don't look like Oberndorf work.
