I bought mine when I lived in Germany, so many years ago that what I paid would have no meaning today. I have seen them on Simpsons site for $250-$290, as I recall. New ones would be more. The newer, full length ones(adjustable from the muzzle) avaliable in larger calibers cost quite a bit more. I noted with interest the article in the newest WAIDMANNSHEIL about some of the GGCA officers hunting in Alabama. This article has a photo of Dick Hummel (the Editor) trying out an einstecklauf made by the hunt's host,Phillip Smith. This might be a source of useable, more or less locally made(no import problems) einstecklaufs in 22LR or Mag.

I want to say I gave $300 for mine. It's the 10 inch barrel Krieghoff in 22LR. I found it on GunBroker. I had to order new adjustment slides from Krieghoff in Pennsylvania and once installed and sighted in it was certainly "minute of squirrel head" accurate. Now that the squirrels have returned to my part of the country I intend to put it to use this spring.
Thank you guys for posting. Krieghoff has a few 22 mag and 22 LR "extra" inserts remaining as they discontinued them about 10 years ago. $725 for the 22lr and $925 for the 22mag. I am not contending they are not work the price, but it is more than I am willing to spend. I would purchase an old bolt gun for that price!
