  • FS Sauer 7x65R/16/16 Drilling

FS JP Sauer and Sohn drilling in 7x65R and 16 gauge. This is a prewar drilling that has the slimmer fore end and the separate extractors. Engraving is limited to a little scroll. Barrels are 27" I had the gun gone over at Champlin Arms, had the shotgun chambers extended to 2 3/4, fitted to take an Einstecklauf in the right barrel, and a set of pivot mounts installed to take a VariX3 scope I had on hand. The rifle barrel has been shortened by about 3/8 inch by a previous owner, but work was professionally done. Gun is tight and on face and in good working order. I've hunted this gun the last couple years, but the length of pull at 14.5" to the set trigger (13 3/8 to the rear) is a bit long for me. Just selling a few of my guns as I get older and have less opportunity to hunt. I'd like a million bucks would settle for $2950 for the rifle and rings without the scope plus shipping.
If you are interested and would like more info of pictures, Email me at arbegastd at aol.com, where at is replaced by @.

I've been a member for a while, but since I've never posted here before, I can provide references.
    Thanks
    Dan

I had an email about possible trades. While his offer was very fair, and I gave it consideration, it was not something that I was interested in. About the only gun that I'm looking for is a hunting grade drilling, cape gun or BBF with a 9.3x74R barrel or barrels. My preference would be a Simpson 12/12/9.3, but would be open to others. I would also be interested in a full length 22 Hornet insert (like a Jung Tornado) to fit the 25 1/2 inch 16 gauge barrel of my Meffert Hubertus drilling. Or if someone has an idea how to put it together, someway to make a trade on an African plainsgame hunt.

Drilling is spoken for. She's moving to Georgia to hunt whitetails.
