Merkel 210 6.jpg merkel 210 7.jpg merkel 210 12.jpg merkel 210 4.jpg For Sale: my 1930’s Merkel 210 Bock-Buchsflinte (Over/under -shotgun/ rifle) 16b / 9.3X72R # 21488 with Schmidt & Bender 1.5X6 ser # 31339. Ohio allowed straight walled rifle cartridges in 2017. This combination gun has been my deer gun for the past 5 years. I have harvested 3 deer with this gun.
Only reason I am selling is because I found another, Merkel 302 with game scene engraving, in same 16b / 9.3X72R.
This Merkel was purchased in 2017 and sent to JJ Perodeau Gunmaker,
Sand Springs, OK to make claw rings for the
Schmidt & Bender 1.5 X 6 scope, open the 16 b for slugs and sight in both barrels.
Ammo is available from Sellier & Bellot (rifle) and Brenneke USA 16b 2.5 inch both in the USA.
The gun was made in 1934. Factory records have survived and will be included.
According to the Merkel catalog 1930 this is a "combined rifle and shotgun, without ejectors, barrels of Bohler steel, double Greener cross bolt, hair trigger for rifle barrel (when set), hinge back sight, straight strikers, separated from hammers, divided cartridge case extractor (the ball cartridge is pulled out a little farther than the shot cartridge and consequently, can be seized more easily). safety on top of frame, stock made according to measures, divided fore-end, line engraved).
I am keeping the original S&B scope and have replaced it with another S&B scope 1.5 X 6 with the same reticle. There are some marks on the outside of the scope tube but the optics are excellent. The Merkel will need to be sighted in. I will include 14 rounds of factory rifle and 20 rounds of slugs (to where legal).
Serial numbers on barrels, action and forend all match.
The attached photo shows how it shot when I sighted it in when received. Two shots at 50 yds rifle and slug.

The value of this Merkel with scope and rings is well above the asking price.
