  • WTB: Krieghoff Trumpf Montage Rings

I recently picked up this rifle and need a set of rings for it. I know form others that these are like hens teeth to find. If you have some please drop me a note. I have tried NEGC and they say no. I have some pics of the mounts and sizes below....

    Thanks,

Hi; I'm Rick Adamson. I just put a set of rings on my drilling with the same type system. My dovetail rib was about 16mm wide at the top. I bought a set of Warne QD rings ( they come in 1" or 30mm ) for $92.00 from OpticPlanet website ( no shipping charge) and had to do very little "filing" to make them work..and they work great. They are the Warne mounts for the CZ527 rifle with 16mm dovetail. I set the front ring on the scope so it is tight against the forward "blockout" and filed a radius on the rear ring's locking set screw to match the radius of the rear rib grove. It was a lot easier than it sounds. These rings are just as good (or better) quality than Talley rings and return to zero. The 9.3x72r, and the 16 gauge hasn't jarred it loose or out of zero. Good luck!

        Rick,

Thanks for the note. I have a set of Warne QD on their way. I have used their rings on a number of guns and been very happy with them. Thanks for your input...

Thanks guys! I will measure the mounts. Curious, on what you have see thus far, are there higher mount options that would allow a larger scope to be installed...like a duralyt?

You may also try the expensive German EAW offerings for 16mm prisms. http://www.eaw.de/assets/files/990f_20_AM_o_FPl.pdf They come in many varieties. Perhaps NECG www.newenglandcustomgun.com can order them for you.

              kcordell,
If you follow this thread http://forums.nitroexpress.com/showf...e=0#Post224566 It will take you Nitro Express. I have outlined what I did, how it worked and also have some photos. Drop me a PM if you have any other questioins. I beleive the rings are available in a variety of heights from MidwayUSA.com .... I certainly cannot take credit for this as Rick steered me in the right direction and then I took it from there... It as really a lot simpler than I had expected...
              Hope this helps.

Guys, the base appears to be 14,5mm across. Does this sound right? My scope is 26,5mm.

Sounds pretty close. The clamp allows you a bit of leway, The brass stock I had was a bit thick and when soldered in place wouldn't allow the ring to slip on, but a little work with a file and I had a nice fit.

Good luck, it was really pretty easy once you got everything cleaned up and fluxed.
