  • Time to find new homes for nice pieces

I am 75 and hoping to see the better pieces in my collection stay where they're appreciated. Have some interesting guns like an Otto Bock cape gun 20 gauge/8mm (.318). An Johann Zigott 7x57R on a highly modified M95 action used by the caretakers in Nazi hunting forests in Austria, an intact ZiDi in 5.6 x 35R with scope and original magazine, some nice drilling and Mausers. Will part with at my cost to any GGCA member.

    Jerry42,
Can you list the others you would like to move?

Sure Mike. A mannlicher stocked 7x57 Mauser with a claw mounted Steigliter scope. Doesn't appear messed with in any way. A8x57 Mauser by GL Rausch extensively engraved, manlicher stocked claw mounted zeiss scope. A Johann Sigott 16 gauge double (restored). A beautiful Haenel 9.3 x57 sorter with folding and bolt sights, new leather pad. A 1909 Mannlicher Schoenaur 9.3 x57 with folding and bolt sights. A Nussbaum marked drilling in 16 gauge over 8x57 with claw mounted 6X scope. A Simon Heim under lever drilling 16 gauge over 9.3 x72. Both drilling shoot well.

I think this attached some pics of the Heim plus a pic of the Nussbaum Drillling, the Otto Bock cap gun and the Zi Di. Had to get help getting the drilling down from its perch so those under separate post.

              Jerry42,
While waiting for the other photos, is that a dovetail or other short rib, for mounting a scope, on top of the barrels, near the breech? If so, that would be an important detail, that may cause someone to buy it. Clear close ups of such details and proof or other marks can very well swing someone's decision. I know very well about needing help, but both grandsons just moved out of town.

It is a dovetail and I have some better pics that i am trying to get into my computer this AM of both drillings. Grandson working at Krogers is a real pain. Old age can be a challenge.

                          Jerry42,

Do you have any pictures of the Mannlicher-Schoenaur 9.3x57? I am interested in that one.

                          Thanks, Diz

                            I'm wondering if the 1909 is really a 1910 and in 9.5 X 56 rather than 9.3 X 57?

Sharps, interesting possibility and wouldn't make much difference but I am wondering why I can't get the photos to expand. Anyone else having this trouble. Thanks, Diz
