Very nice Meister. As noted above, break down and get a copy of Alte Scheibenwaffen Vol. 1. Wonderful presentation of the history of scheutzen and unbelievable photography. Even my wife was impressed.

The "JGA" in a circle is definitely an Anschütz marking. Here are 2 Anschütz Zimmerstutzen k98k trainers in 4mm Lang.
I always enjoy reading about 8.15 loads. The Aydt I recently bought by a long time shooter was slugged at .318. He gave me a160gr .323 mold with a .335 stop ring. His load was with 12grs of 4227. As a novice I am starting with that. It shot well in my Jung and I need to try the Aydt on the bench.Attached FilesMit Schützengruß,

No new image came through for us Mike...
Let's see more of your Meister.
From the images up above, I believe your Meister has the Swiss style butt known as "Der Schweizer Schaft", per the August 2000 HBSA Lecture on "The Schuetzen Rifle" (views of that 43-page PDF lecture by John Anderson and Ron Hardy are available online).
My Meister has a large dished cheek rest, Tyrolean style, known as "Der Tyroler Schaft". (See page 35 of the referenced pdf file.) One doesn't "shoulder" that style, as much as you "crawl" into it, in my opinion. I'd bet yours shoulders easier and quicker.

My rifle is very plain, no engraving, but it is a good shooter, has a great bore. I have a system Will with a Tyrol stock so radical I can not obtain a sight picture, on the other hand, I have a system Koncurenze (spelling) that has a Tyrol stock that fits very well. The 4 or 5 other Tyrol stocks I have fit to various degrees of comfort.
