    Pat,
Great. It feels good, doesn't it?

It sure does Mike, when I started I wasn't sure when it would end, or how. Now it's just about fine tuning knowing the rifle is not the limiting factor, it's the shooter. Besides it's my second German schutzen rifle I doubt it will be the last. They're so well made and pleasant to the eye one can get addicted.

Pat, I understand what you mean, but my own addiction is "tip up" single shot rifles, and to a lesser extent, combination guns.

Congratulations Pat, well done! I expect you'll tighten those groups as you get the kinks worked out.

Thanks. I have shot a few more cartridges after adjusting the trigger and changing the bead on the foresight. The rifle is very accurate but I need to get used to the weight, 12 pounds. My Winchester 1885 in a comparable caliber, 32-40, feels very light in comparison. On the other hand it makes for a very stable platform with little recoil. My current load is 15 grains of Vitavhuori N120, quite soft but apparently enough.

A Scheutzen rifle is on the bucket list. First I have to recover from my consumptive spending habits of the last year or so.
