They do work just fine, the shotgun conversions. Below is an image of a roebuck, a Remo II 16 gauge and a rucksack. After an hour´s listening to the Dachshund the buck came out in front of me at 20 meters. We did get a fox as well but it fell in front of some side by side contraption.

Interesting, how long is that barrel? It looks like a full meter.

barrel length is 68 centimeters which after conversion here https://www.convertunits.com/from/cm/to/inches came out 26.77 inches.

Cartridge was an old Gyttorp. Shot was European No. 1.
