It's the GDR time "best (= export) quality" mark, in use 1951 to 1989. In those commi times the proofhouse graded the guns as to execution too. Best quality guns or scopes were reserved for getting at hard $$ or DM. Iron courtain "brother" countries and the privileged domestic hunters were offered the lower grades, 1, 2, 3, stamped in triangles.
