There's Darrin Weaver's Encyclopedia of German Tradenames & Trademarks but I'd wouldn't absorb that, just know where it is on the shelf. Saving the best for last, Gerhard Wirnsberger's Standard Directory of Proof Marks is a must.
Well, we have a segment of time, a serial number, so there may be a correlation between the example & a Suhl maker if there are other known examples by the same maker in the sequence.
