I was speaking with members of the GGCA at the NRA show. I thought that the gun was over and under but it is a SxS (rifle/shotgun).
It is a G.L. Rasch who was in Braunschweig. I have learned this much:
G. L. Rasch was a "Hofbüchsenmacher", that means, a gun smith appointed by the Duke of Brunswick. His work is highly engraved and of superb craftsmanship. All Rasch signed guns were high class guns. He "tuned" most guns he sold, that means, he took an e. g. Sauer & Sohn and made them a little special.
I assume that the gun was made in the late 1800s given that it was not a modern cartridge rifle (it appears to be 11mm/16 ga). Has hammers.
Not sure what the gun is worth.
