  • Please help no idea what I have it is a sxs 12ga

I have made out this ideal verschluss brenneke system on the receiver. And Wilhelm brenneke Leipzig in between the barrels. And a circled 12. Which is the gauge correct and nitro which means modern powder and 171 which is the steel but nothing which tells me the model or make. I would like to know if possible what it is and a general idea what it is worth.
    Thanks keith image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

How 'bout a few more images of the frame/water table & the underside of the tubes? What is the steel type? Indeed it is a double made on the Ideal Verschluß Systeme Brenneke. Even though it is a robust action, condition is paramount and typically it won't fetch any more than a double from the period unless you find a Brenneke collector who fancies it. Baumgarten should be along shortly and he & I were recently discussing the robust action variants from the period as I was focused on a novel addition by Eduard Kettner:

Gebrauchsmuster Nr. 330619 - Gewehrläufe mit seitlichen Wulsten, die in das Gewehrverschlußstück eingreifen. Eduard Kettner, Cöln Hohestrasse 67
    circa June 1908

    Kind Regards,

Darn, and I thought I was young having started shooting when I was thirteen-years-old. I know this is from six years ago but are you out of Kindergarden yet? that sure is an unusual looking pea shooter. Don't shoot your eye out kid! 12 inside a circle does indicate a 12 gauge shotgun but it will be for the old shorter (65mm or 2/1/2 inch) shells not modern 2 3/4".
