I am trying to figure which model this twenty gauge Sauer is, any help appreciated.

I believe it is a model 14.

At one time it went through final proof at a German proof house.

Serial number, if it is a JPS&S serial number, points to date of manufacture circa 1923-24.

As there are no German proof marks on the barrel set I believe the barrel set is a replacement one.

I have no idea who E.W was.

That looks correct. The barrels have a vent rib and no markings so very possible they are replacements. Thank you .
