  • Harold stalking rifle

    Hello
I have seen adds for several stalking rifles referred to as a Harold rifle, is this a system or a type? Is it the name of a retailer? I am considering buying one in 6.5x52r, it is marked Harold on the action. Thanks in advance for any information.

Yes, I misspelled it, is the 6.5x52r same as 25-35 Winchester? Thanks for the information.

          Mike,
Yes, 6.5x52R is the same cartridge as 25-35 Win., It was just loaded to a little less pressure than the 25-35. Most people just use 25-35 factory ammo or handload using 25-35 data. If you can find some of the new Flextip 25-35 bullets, I think you will like them, they have been getting good "press".

              Mike,
Herold was the Trademark of Franz Jaeger, who happened to be the grandfather of our late founder, Dietrich Apel. Can you post a photo of the rifle?

I haven't purchased it yet, the seller wants to test fire it first. He has agreed to hold it for me. I will post pictures as soon as I complete the transaction.
                Thanks Mike
