    Willi,
The germanhuntingguns site was opened by our highly respected founder, Dietrich Apel mostly to memorialize his and other's research and provide a convenient place for future information. After Dietrich passed away, our member Larry Schuknecht graciously agreed to take the site on, in addition to his "day job" as owner of Dutchman Wood Works. I, among others, appreciate the work he puts into it.

      Hello

As for 1937: two Bruno Helfricht are listed in Zella-Mehlis. One at Forstgasse 7 (Waffenfabrik) and the other one (Inhaber of Helfricht & Fischer) at Forstgasse 9 where the business was. I guess the Helfricht at No 7 is B(runo) Hugo Helfricht who somewhere along the way dropped the Hugo-bit. Sorry if I misled you.

      EDIT: spelling

      Kind regards
      Peter

Found a couple of photos in Volume 1 of "Alte Scheibenwaffen" which shed some light on these rifles. Note one has a safety and the other does not.

        Regards,
        Willi
