chrome_screenshot_1669734643591.png Otto Buhl took over Adolf Hoffer-Frey's business in 1912 (with slim possibility he took over in late 1911). Adolf Hoffer was the successor of Th. Frey. When Adolf Hoffer took over is not known to me. The Hoffer-Frey business was at the same address as Buhl's. A 1912 ad mentions that Buhl peddled brands Hubertus, Herold, Kersten, and Karl. Otto Buhl is not found in Strassburg after 1918.

Adolf/ph Hoffer-Frey took over two businesses. In either 1886 or 1887 he took over the business of an M. Frey:
"Adolph Hoffer-Frey, Nachf[olger] v.[on] M. Frey, Leistenfabr.[ikant]“, owner aforementioned Adolf/ph Hoffer-Frey, Kaufmann, Zornmhuelenplan 2. Resided at Schlossergasse 14. A year later (or two) he took over Buechsenmacher Theodor Frey's business:
A. Hoffer-Frey, Nachf. von Th. Frey, Buechsenmacher, Jagd- u.[nd] Fischereigeraethehandlung" at Langestrasse 157. He was by now residing at Barbaragasse 15.
