  • Walter's patent semi auto 12 shotgun

I recently picked this up. It has a side cocking lever and a Krupp steel barrel. It is marked for 2 1/2" shells. Any ideas on the Model or Vintage?

it was made in the beginning of 20-th years of 20 century. their quantity was not big. I think about 5-7 thousands.

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of. If you use the search on Simpson Ltd. type in Walther Shotgun and it will come up. I believe the stock number is C6329 and you may be able to search that too. This one is listed at about $1300.

          Thanks, Diz

On the Gunboards forum there was what seemed to me like a thorough discussion of the Walther auto shotgun a few years back, including detailed photographs of the mechanism and markings. It can be found by a google search for "Walther automatic shotgun" plus "Gunboards". Dan

Diz is correct, Simpson Ltd. has one listed. If you can't find it by "searching", go to "Long Guns", then "Shotguns", then "Misc", then go through 45 or more pages of listings. They are listed in alphabetical order, so "Walther" is near the end. The good thing is you will get to see a lot of interesting guns, this way.
