I was at the range the other day. I was working on a cast bullet load for my Meffert drilling. It is a Dural framed gun with 1931 proof marks. When I went to fire the first round, I set the trigger, then when I pulled the trigger, click. I openned the action, there was a light dent in the primer. I repeated with another cartridge. Same thing happened
I put it aside with the action open. Sometime later, I picked it up and it worked fine. I did not set the trigger this time. I have noticed that occaissionally I've experienced a light hammer fall like this when i moved the rifle barrel selector on and off a number of times. I suspect I need to send it to JJ for something. Any thoughts on what night be going on? Might this be operator error?
Thanks
