New project

I don't know if ya'll remember a year or so ago a friend gave me a Christoph Funk Mauser barreled action chambered in 8 X 60. Today I finally go together with another friend who told me "let me check around with my buddies and see what's out there". This is what I ended up with.

That is a nicely figured piece of wood! Plus the grain runs pretty straight through the grip so it should hold up will to that 8 x 60. Good luck with it, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Thanks Mike...I hope you'll allow me to pick your mind again, on the cartridge. I don't think it's the 8 X 60 express but I need to double check that. It will probably take me another year to see it done.

It's beyond my abilities Peter but I do want to try to keep up with it as it goes along.

The normal 8x60 is a great cartridge, even w/o special proofs, and since it is the rimless version you won't be limited by having to find a load that "regulates" 2 barrels.
