search for extractor holding ring Mauser .22 B-series
I don't know what model number my mauser 22 is, but I would be happy to get some measurements for you. You may be able to find or modify something close. There was a "gunsmith" project 22 at auction I intended to buy for the stock and sell the parts, but it went for A PREMIUM. I have not delved into the small bores yet, so I may just be ignorant to their value.
You dont want to tell me that an extractor collar from an prewar .22 is banned for export outside US?
I thought here in germany the (gun)laws are crazy, but if i hear that.......
It's the customs in Germany. Even trigger guard screws or scope rings are confiscated if they see them. Sending them by Post would be a gamble, at least.
Oh, a person could slip it onto a wooden dowel and mark the customs form as "contents: tool handle" or something of that nature, but you are taking a chance that it won't arrive. I've sent stocks home after removing ALL metal, listed as "table legs" and they made it. Had they been confiscated, it would have been MY loss only. Don't think I would risk sending parts to someone else, though.
Steve
This parts are not restricted by any law in germany, also the import is not restricted by any law. The customs cannot confiscate them, if you know your rights. The problem is that the most of the customs personal is free of any knowledge in guns and gunparts.
Especially this collarring- i think it would be hard to find an customs employee who tells you what it is.
