Here is an update on my quest to get my 5.6 shooting.
I had previously sent my dies back to RCBS late last year because the shoulder on my reformed cases was too far forward to allow the the bolt to close. I talked with John at RCBS special die department and he said that he had polished the dies .006-.007 smaller than the spec.
I sent the dies back late last week in order to have them polished down again. My reloading guy believes that it needs an additional .006 taken off.
Turn around time at RCBS is approximately a week.
Since the chamber is not to spec I am assuming that this might be why my rifle is in such good shape.... I'm beginning to believe that it possibly has never been fired.
i will post updates!
My 3 year quest continues.
