When I'm not thinking of selling my drilling I'm thinking of bagging a buck with it,

seriously what great woods guns these are, one barrel with small game load, one with bird shot, and one serious rifle slug

I'd say dinners on the table with these things

Levy's Leather has the 3/4 in. German style slings. They have several different kinds in a fair price range. I have several for my German long guns. Here...

            Packmule,
Look on the GGCA website and get one of the quick adjustable or quick shortening slings.

The Quick Shortening Sling availble from the GGCA http://www.germanguns.com/storefinalmerchandise.html is the one most often used on Drillings in Germany. It's simply the most practical, as it can be shortened out of the way in a second when the Drilling is to be used as a shotgun.

The store is open and we have the quick shortening sling and the braided. They are supplied to us by the nice folks at AKAH.

In my experience, the braided slings usually squeak. Maybe you can treat one with something to stop it, but I never left one on long enough to try it.

                      Ballistol will fix any squeaks.
