And by the way, posting text on the GGCA website has little or no bearing on the longevity of a site; it is money & management. If anyone has another modell, I'll really like to be apprised of it.

IMHO we are moving far away from the original topic of this thread, a Zella-Mehlis made trade break open rifle in 6.5x27R P .....

Oh, indeed and I'd say that post is a sign of capitulation, but one last question: who is at the helm of this technology bus: Jefe, cat lady & we know it is not Friar Fred, so who is it?

        Cheers,

Getting back on track seeing no one wants to fess up as to where the buck stops, seeing this isn't the thread I was propagating I'll post on both:

Snippet of page 88 of W.B. Dixon's text.

          Cheers,

The pre-packed loads advertized by RWS/Uttendoerfer are expressly for the 8mm Schützenhülsen = 8.15x46R. Such Einzelladungen were offered up to WW2. I have yet to see an ad for the fabled "Einzelladungen" for the 6.5x27R P. Such 6.5x27(R) Einzelladungen for reloading are mentioned nowhere in German literature. "Einzellader" is clearly "single shot (rifle or pistol)" in German, other than "Einzelladung" = "single load". The RWS/Utendoerffer P27/6.5R ad is about loaded cartridges with jacketed bullets, not about Einzelladungen.

Is the following text & load data as seen on the packet correct:

0,5gr. Gelat. Rauchl. Troisdorfer Scheibenpulver 1912.

              Cheers,

Found the D.R.G.M. 378433 in what was given as a 1908 publication but the interesting date appears to be April 6th of 1909???

                Gebrauchsmuster - 72 d. Nr. 378433. Pappiertüte zu Einzelladungen für Gewehrpatronen. - Rhein. Westf. Spr. A.G. Abt. Nürnberg. - 6.IV.09 .

Yes, but it is .5 gramm gelatinized smokeless target powder type 1912 by the Factory in Troisdorf, not .6 gramm GBlp = Gewehrblättchenpulver. It's a different powder, clearly advertized elsewhere for 8.15x46R lead bullet target loads. The 1940 RWS handbook still listed 8 Einzelladungen for the 8.15x46R, using three different smokeless powders. The about 1920 Steigleder catalog also lists these loads for the 8.15x46R only. As I wrote before, I have never seen such Einzelladungen mentioned for use in the 6.5x27R (there was a rimless version also) , except in English language writings like COTW and Dixon.

                    wow!

Thats the most action I've seen occur in such a short time since I've been here, a little salt really adds flavor.

Sorry, nothing to ad to the OP :>(

This DRGM merely protected the general idea of marketing pre-weighted smokeless powder charges wrapped in paper. No specific cartridges mentioned. So you have a terminus post quem (earliest date) for pre-packed smokeless powder charges = Einzelladungen. At that time these solved a problem for most target shooters reloading their cases: Most of them had no powder scales, but relied on the graduated powder measures for black powder. When smokeless came into use, the blackpowder measures became useless, as flake powders metered very unreliable.

Here are two packages of such Einzelladungen, both for the 8.15x46R. “Rottweil P” stands for the Pistol powder by the Rottweil factory, used just like Unique in lead bullet target loads. The P here is not related to the P series of Tesching cartridges, 5.6x19R, 6.5x27, 6.5x27R, 6.8x28R, 6.8x33R, 7.65x28R.

                          Axel,
This is a pretty common mistake in understanding, I think I first saw it in Cartridges of the World ( not their only mistake).
