Does anyone know where I can get a replacement of somekind for this stock.Its a Merkel 201e 12ga..Came across gun at a garage sale.Its in good shape except for this pad and recoil pad.I believe its cork but could be wrong.According to serial number its manu. in Suhl 1936.

In my opinion, you don't need a replacement stock. Any good gunsmith can clean/refinish the stock and replace the recoil pad. I suggest any one of those that advertise in the Trade Directory found in WAIDMANNSHEIL.

Thanks for the reply.I understand the stock is good I have not been able to find a replacement pad.I have seen similar ones over the years but can't remember where.Looks like you said clean out old and install new pad.Any help with replacement wold be appreciated.Comment

If you intend to install it yourself, Brownell's has a good selection, the original one seems to lack a "white line spacer", I suggest you chose one like it. This is a matter of taste however. If you intend to have someone else install it, they can aquire one for you.
