According to J.Lugs:"Handfeuerwaffen" this is a quite unique design by Ignaz Wangler of Kuttenberg, Bohemia, now Kutna Hora in the Czech Republic. Lugs dates the design to 1885, which appears to me to be very late for such a sliding barrel gun. As lugs also dates a more conventional, hand-detacheable design by Wangler to the same year, 1885 may be an error. Sliding barrel guns are very rare, the first such design by French Ghaye in 1850. These slide-barrel guns were never a commercial success, so finding another one is about as likely as finding an original Colt Walker in a country pawnshop.

Wangler received for this design a patent in 1882, one year later he submitted a second patent with slight changes to it. Ignatz Wangler died in February 1890, but his shop was still run for a while by his wife. So this system was built for approx. 10 years. There are several dozens of pieces surviving in different collections, so that the gun is not super scarce, nevertheless it is not so easy to find one.
