  • Source for 9.5x57 M/S Ammo

    Howdy!
I recently came into possession of a 1910-1918? Mauser 98 in caliber 9.5x57 MS.
Does any one know of a source of factory ammo? Preferably new stuff, something not loaded in the early 1900's?
I have obtained Brass, but want some ammo to compare my reloads with factory loads.

    Marko,
Ammo under Kynoch's name has recently been reintroduced, they may have what you are looking for. The British designation for this cartridge is 375 Rimless Nitro Express (2 1/4"). Be prepared for a little "sticker shock".Two other sources are custom handloaders and Buffalo Arms. This cartridge is one of the ones that are easy to handload for.You should "slug" your barrel to verify that it is 9.5x57, and not 9.3 or 9x57(both of which are good cartridges also),since a good number of these two calibers have recently been imported.
