If anyone is familiar with the Hensoldt Wetzlar 1.5X Duralyt optic? I would like to know more about the history behind this scope. Thank you.

After further examination I found an imprint on the cover of the case. It was very hard to see but I believe that the case was for a WWI military scope and not the 1.5x that came with it, to me. -
I am not sure due to the texture of the material if there was an 8.3x or 5.3x scope originally in this case.

The case is for an WW1 sniper, in use at this time where 3x and 4x.
The Hensoldt Duralyt is made in the late 1960 into the 1970s.http://www.jagdwaffensammler.deComment

Just in general: I find the Hensolldt scopes and binoculars that I have owned are very good and have no complaints.
