Is the 8mm x 60 a currently available cartridge ? I am considering a purchase and am not familiar with the round. Is it similar power to any American cartridges? Thank you for any light you may shed.

The rimless 8 X 60 can be fairly easily made from 30-06 cases. It is merely the 8 X 57 lengthened 3 mm, as I understand it, to get around the post WWI ban on civilians owning rifles chambered for military cartridges. I'm sorry, can't say if it's a factory loaded cartridge -
