Rudolf Regenhardt certainly retailed your Merkel. Just found him listed as a pre-WW2 gunshop both in Heiligenstadt, just across the border in Thuringia, East Germany post-WW2, and in Goettingen, West G., about 20 miles away. No more info on him found. But as I am living in that area I will ask around. Maybe someone remembers?
