Thanks for the add, just picked up this Emil Kerner 16 ga, my first German shotgun, 29 in barrels, short chambers, horn trigger guard and grip cap. I collect, shoot and reload 16 ga only and turning my collection towards European sxs`s. Beside the Kerner I have a french Darne. Any info on the Kerner would be great, already got a lot on the 16 ga forum

Hello
Look here (see link). I still don't have access to my library. I will look when I'm on the computer again. There are other threads on the Kerner's. Try the search function.

I found it a little strange that there are not crown S marks for proof to use shot. I can't see the barrels and they may carry provisional proof as tubes. The left barrel is choked, so it is a shotgun. There is no date, so it is pre mid 1920s. It is a nice gun.

thanks everyone for your help, every time I get into something new, honda motorcycles, vw sandrails, mosin nagants, high standard pistol etc, I am always lucky to find a few guys that have been there, done that, that share their knowledge with us new guys, I hope I can pay it forward. thanks
