  • Suhler sope mounts

A few years back I bought a Mauser sporter in 257 Roberts that once had the claw mounts and bases. When I purchased it, it has the front mount, but the rear mount is missing being replaced with a Redfield peep site. I am wanting to put a scope on it due to my eyesight is not what it used to be. Where can I buy the bases and ring blanks so that I can try getting this done? I had a scope mounted at New England Custom Gun in the past, and it turned out great. However due to time and cost, I would like to try it my self. Thanks in advance

    wernerheim,
You might try the internet for the websites of Ernst Apel Wuerzburg (EAW) and/or Eric Recknagel (ERA). By reviewing their catalogs, you can see what parts they have available. It may be difficult to order directly from them, but New England Custom Guns deal with these firms, and you may be able to get the parts through their shop. Keep in mind that if they help you, they will necessarily have to "markup" the price.
