Is there brass available that could be used to make 8x36r Tesching brass for reloading.

Dixon shows at least 6 cartridges shown as 8x36R( plus a couple close enough to be confused for 8x36R). They are all "raised head" cases with rim diameters from 12.3mm ( .484") to 13mm (.512") and head diameters from 10.7mm( .421") to 11.25mm(.443"), with the majority being around the 13mm/11mm size. There will be slightly different case lengths and shoulder locations, but in forming the cases, these differences are insignificant. Most of the cases can be formed from 30-30 cases, but the one with the 11.25 mm (.443") may be a little "iffy". The pressures will be pretty low, but if you are apprehensive you could go to .303/ 220Swift/ ,225 Win. cases and turn/ swage the heads to fit. To replicate or approximate the "raised head"( like a smaller Mauser Base), you can reform or turn the outside part of the rim, or a combination of the two to fit the rim to the rifle. The reforming would be similar to the process shown in my article on loading for 11mm rifles in an early WAIDMANNSHEIL. A less elegant solution would be to turn the rim diameter to fit( if necessary) and fireform to fit the chamber to headspace off the shoulder instead of the rim. It will be necessary to make a chamber cast and make the cases fit the chamber. Case diameter differences of around .015" smaller are of no concern and you may accept slightly larger differences if you use low pressure handloads. I hope this helps.
