I would like to see a photo of the proofmarks and the "8x75" marking in addition to photos of the "Collath" gun action area. Reason: Teschner & Co., Wilhelm Collath made a lot of 8x72R chambered rifles, but I have never heard or seen one chambered for Behr's 8x75R. And, as the "modern" 8x75R designation seems to be stamped on the rifle, it is rather unlikely to be stamped by Collath, as the company folded in 1940, the same year such a marking was prescribed by the new proof law. Before, up to March 1940, the official marking for a 8x75R would read "7.8mm / 75". The gun may be one bought in from another Suhl maker and merely retailed by Collath.
