Well, I got a reply from Kari Kock-Helsinki, Finland, he also was not able to find a Sauer label, so made his own and has sent me the pdf artwork. It really is nice work, and has solved my problem. Many thanks to Kari.
Best,
Craig
Unlike the British, the Germans rarely used gun cases in the old times, but British style guncase labels were not used even then. Asking for a German guncase label is about like asking for an American drilling: There have been some, but they are rarer than hen's teeth.
Thanks, that is interesting! The new J.P.Sauer & Sohns has just brought out a side by side side lock, but will not sell the label separately that they are using with the cased gun.
Best,
Craig
