  • German Free Pistols

Anyone have a suggestion for good reference sources on the early German Free Pistols.
Specifically, Udo Anschutz, Luna, Record Match, Both steel and Dural actions.
    Any help is appreciated,
    Best,
    Craig

    Craig,

The best reference I have found is volume 3 of Alte Schibenwaffen by Tom Rowe. It is available from the GGCA book store.

If you are interested in particular models, the book Die Scheibenpistole by Halfmann and Brukner has descriptions and some history of them. It is a good book if you can find one.

I purchased a used copy of:

THE SCHEIBENWAFFEN : OLD GERMAN TARGET ARMS : VOLUME 1 1860-1940
Thompson, Jesse, C. Ron Dillon, Allen Hallock, Bill Loos (Compiled by Tom Rowe)

I assume that the other volumes would also be found (II and III)...

                on AbeBooks ...
