Any info would be helpful-Old German Shotgun

I have an old shotgun from my great grandfather and can't find any info on it. Just wondering if anybody on this forum has any.

The gun is an old (mid 1850 or so) double barrel shotgun 16 to 20 guage. It is a pin firing type (percussion?). It has some gold lettering on top side "Schnidl of H. Rodlin Prag"

If you're taking the pictures don't forget to take pictures of the proof marks on the underside of the barrel at the breech. They'll look something like this.

ok, took some pics to post but have tried a couple of times and i guess im not computer savy enough to figure it out...read instructions..created an album...downloaded files but said they were too big for this site....

I did look under breach to look for markings (and took pic that i cant post )..the only mark it has is a stamped 8...I took several pics of shotgun would like to post if possible...ill try again later but a tad frustrated at the moment...Jay

Yeah, it is an early H. Rödl or H. Roedl. The other name may have been his father-in-law. Any chance of larger images?

Ok, been doing a little askin around...looks like so far this gun is old pin fire with an original Roux action. Gun was from Prague, made or sold there...mabye around 1860's to 1870's.(at least this is info I got from one fella) Any additional info anybody can figure would be great. Thanks to all for helpin me..Jay

what would you like larger pictures of? That was the problem when I tried to load first pics..they were too large and I had to resize them to get them to load.
