Browsing thru my old Gun Digest, I reread the European proof mark articles by Baron Englehardt. They are very informative. Did the Baron publish this series in a book form?

    Mike,
I don't know the answer to your question, but one of the last times I talked to our founder Dietrich Apel, he was working to consolidate the available information about proof marks/ proof testing. I recommended Baron Englehardt's and Lee Kennet's writings in later Gun Digests. He was working on gaining permission to utilize different people's writing's. I don't know, but I'm afraid he wasn't able to get it done, before he passed. I hope you and your's are safe from the recent storms.

It was interesting in NW Misery. The storms weren't as intense as in the central region like Jefferson City. I hope all you guys ferther east ( technical term) escaped the bad stuff. Be Well. Packy

Interesting night down here in the Ozarks as well, Packy. Evidently "Schuman Ridge" that we live on is situated in such a manner and is enough of a geographic feature that it diverts tornado's either north or south of us....so far.

Been lucky so far. The one here last week went about a mile north. 2nd time in 6 years one passed with in spitting distance.
Lived 75 years in tornado alley so far so good. I am refrigeration foreman for a grocery chain, I have 2 guys over in Jefferson City Mo. neither was hurt and the stores were not damaged. We have a store in Eldon Mo, it was undamaged, but no power. Anyone interested in ice cream soup.

Glad your guys are ok yamoon. My wife is from the Jefferson City area and we lived about 15 miles west of town for 25 years. I remember tornado's around but never anything like that and I don't ever remember any in Jeff. proper. On the news I saw a car wash I wired 30 some years ago and the building survived. Don't know about anything else. I'm glad I'm semi-retired and don't live there now. The electricians up there have to be hammered. Probably as bad as the "Great Flood of '93". I WAS there for that. Holy cow, what a mess. At least a tornado is here and gone in a few minutes. That flood stayed for 6 weeks.
