  • Book on Germanic Target Pistols

The book, actually the current issue of our journal, is in the mail to all US members. So, if you have been good the past year, you should be getting one soon as part of your membership. If you don't please let us know. Jon

    Jon,

Mine arrived today, it's very nice! I'm looking at it as a special X-mas gift from the GGCA.

Wishing all of our members a very Merry Christmas and health and happiness for the New Year ... the wealth thing, well uh sure.

      Mark,
I wish the same for you, your's, and all the other members. I agree about the journal, I have already used it to ID the maker of a rifle I have( Dick has one as well) and didn't know who made it.

My interests include target rifles, but primarily center around single shot pistols. Just completed my first (of many) reading. An outstanding book and excellent companion to Alte Scheibenwaffen, containing some different guns and excellent photography. Thank you German Gun Collectors Association.

Took the words right out of my mouth -- thank you for the gift!

I must say, I am VERY IMPRESSED with the Waidmannsheil, Calendar, Forum posts, and now the Pistol book -- but especially with all the helpfulness and camaraderie of the GGCA members.

You folks collectively set the bar VERY HIGH for what special interest organizations can and will do for members. I am SO very glad that I joined GGCA after buying my Moeller Martini.

And I expect to get yet another German-made gun next year too.

            Season's Greetings to all!

Very impressed with the book. I have only had time to look at the pictures & read a few pages. I am primarily a Schuetzen rifle shooter, but I do own 2 target pistols & shoot them occasionally. One is a model 160, the other is a Stötzer Perfekt, both are in good condition. I found the Stötzer in an online auction, it was the only firearm in the auction. Bought it for a song, which proves even a blind squirrel gets an acorn occasionally. Merry Christmas to everyone.

                Jon,
Mine arrived yesterday too. Knowing I hadn't ordered it I mistakenly thought that someone liked me and had anonymously sent me a Christmas gift. Nice book and inordinately informative.
                Thank you GGCA!

                  Dear friends,

Thank you so much for all your kind remarks! "The making of" this book was a true international exercise, with help from people as far as way as Switzerland, Austria, The Netherlands, Germany and of coarse the USA. As materials and books on the subject are scarce, to say the least, we basically focussed on the study material that was available and had help from members as well as non-members alike. It took over two years to write, photograph and put-together by a dedicated team of enthousiasts. My thanks go out to all of them, and you: our members of coarse. I hope that it allows you to have some reference material and historical background on these beautiful pistols. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We shall do our best to help you, if we can.

Merry Christmas to all. Greetings from the Netherlands, Arjan

My copy arrived today! Very impressed! It helped me ID a pistol I had tucked away.
