Igor, I must be going a little in my old age as I thought I had posted to this thread already. Anyway, that was an especially interesting article since I just recently visited Purdey in London. I thought there were some excellent photos of very fine guns as well. It was well worth the trouble of trying to get through the translation. However, there was another article that caught my eye and that was "Myths of Russian Weapons, Buturlin's Paradox". I read this one with considerable interest as I have just recently acquired a Joseph Manton 12 bore in the Paradox style and I am very interested in getting as much information concerning these guns as possible. Much appreciated on both counts. Thanks, Diz

Diz, thank you for your kind words and for your attention to my modest research. There are problems with translation of my articles. My English isn`t good, and the services of interpreter are expensive. Kind regards, Igor

Igor, It's not your English that's at fault, it's "Google Translator" that leaves something to be desired although it does a good enough job that you can figure most things out. I believe you have done an excellent job with your articles and research and I plan to revisit the site to read more. Thanks again, Diz
