Merkel O/U Frame Size?

Hi!
Are the Merkel over/under frame sizes the same between a 12 bore and a 16 bore? Will a set of 12 bore barrels fit a 16 bore combination Merkel?

I haven't tried it, but I'm sure they won't fit.
