7 mm Mauser

I think I found a Mauser in my grandmothers basement

It has on the side: Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken*

On the top of the reciever it has H H H

Serial number 85xx

Anyone has any information on this? I cant find anything about the H H H on the reciever to indicate where ir was possibly exported to.

terps, I believe you're going to have to disassemble the rifle and get to the real proof marks and post more pictures.

A good cleaning and overall photo would also be helpful. This is a military rifle and we usually deal with sporting guns, but others on this site are expert with military rifles and may help also.

I think I can see enough to believe you have a model 93 or 95 Mauser that has been somewhat modified, with some work on the pistol grip area of the stock and the bolt handle, in addition to relocating the lower sling swivel. However as I admitted, other members are more knowledgeable than I, with military rifles.
