Have just picked up a 1924 bockbüchsflinte I purchased a while back. I am in the process of stripping and cleaning it up and thought I'd better de-gunk the action. It struck me that it didn't seem to have a set trigger, but that the trigger had a degree of sprung forward movement. I wondered if it had a replacement trigger blade at some point and so had lost the set trigger function?
Anyway here's some pictures after stripping out 93 years of gunk:
The feather spring and bar labelled 1 and 2 are sat under the trigger and sear for the rifle barrel. This makes me think they have/had something to do with a set trigger? Opinions welcome!
