  • Not direct german, but...

I have an Winchester 1903 in my collection, proofed before WW1 in Suhl and made 1912 by sn.
There is one problem with the rifle: the "takedown" screw is missing. Is ist possible to get it in US
in original or good reproduction? Any help would be great!

    chapman,
Search for an original one, from all the different sources, and if you are not successful; PM me, maybe I can make you one.

chapman, I believe that the Model 63 Winchester is nearly identical to the 1903 and the take-down systems are the same. It may increase your chances by looking at both models. There is a bushing and pin that are part of that assembly and they are fairly easy to find but the screw itself may prove difficult. Numrich Arms did not show any screws in stock. You may have to take Mike up on his offer. Good luck with your search, Diz

I'll keep an eye out on one for you. I come across Winchesters and parts fairly often.

Funnel you posted this, I was at an auction last night with one or two 1903's and almost bought one. Both went for too much (and were too nice) to part out!
