I recently passed on a "break-your-heart" beautiful Ferlach (Franz Sodia) 1954 12 gauge Bockflintten- 70MM chambers, Boehler Stahl- the "Forever Yours" import O/U handling by Flaig's in the 1970's- Single selective Trigger, ejectors, Merkel style 3 pc. forearm-- 26 & 5/8" barrels open choked- a piece of European walnut that was outstanding- but my friend on the DoubleGunShop Forum- Raimey Ellenburg, gave me some good guidance as to pricing, and the hammer down price was about twice what I was prepared to pay. I have a WW2 bring-back drilling-a "project gun", and that's about it. But I want to learn more about the fine guns from both Germany and Austria, even if I can't afford to buy them.

Francis,
Welcome, we are glad to have you with us. Raimey shows up on this site also. Since you are interested in German guns, you should also join the Assn., see my advice to Acera on his thread. I hope you don't think you are the only one here that can't afford to buy the things you like. Tell us about your drilling, and post photos.
Mike

Danke- Bist Sie 'Der Ami"-- The American, if so, you and Raimey are two of the most knowing posters/responders on the DoubleGunShop website- glad they have a sector for German/European shotguns and their variations (Drillings, Vierlings, etc.) Thanks for the welcome to this Forum site. I'll have fotos after I return from a fishing trip to Canada- The 16 hammer drilling is a Kettner- short chambers- Need to do a cerro-safe casting to make sure of the under rifle barrel's caliber however- I've shot a few barn pigeons with the shotgun barrels (27&3/8") using RST shorter shells-
