What's the city after Brunner on the top rib? From the thumbnails it looks like a Kerner-Anson variant on a Dural frame but better images of the sides of the frame including the floorplate along with images of the marks may net you some info.

    Cheers,

All right, how 'bout Mathias Brunner of Brugg, Switzerland? I am going to assume it was made within the Austro-Hungarian Empire but images of the proofmarks will prove it out.

          Cheers,

Büchsenmacher Mathias Brunner in Brugg, Switzerland - he was active prior to WWI.

gunner, pull off the forearm, dismount the barrels and there should be proof marks on the barrel flats.

Nummer 1370.9 is more than likely the weigh to of the tubeset. Both Liege & the Austro-Hungarian Empire mechanic used this. Near the choke stamp there should be some preliminary marks which will point to a gunmaking centre. Also, there should be some on the water-table/frame.

                        Cheers,

                          Ah, missed a post.

It was sourced from Ferlach possibly in the completed state. The tubeset knitter may have had the initials SP. There should be some datastrings on the barrel flats & water-table.

                          Cheers,

                            gunner68,
You need to remove the barrels from the frame, so Raimey can see the marks on the "flats" under the barrels. Just open it up,as you would to unload it( with the forearm off) and they will come right off.
